About Future Super
At Future Super, we’re making money moves and changing the way super is made. By giving people the opportunity to invest their savings in businesses that do not harm the planet, we are showing the power super has to change the world.
With ambitious goals and a passionate member base, we’re looking for a Senior Product Designer to design our end-to-end member experience, adding cohesion and fun to a generally disparate and confusing experience.
We strongly encourage applications from First Nations people, people with disabilities, people of diverse cultural and linguistic backgrounds, mature workers, and lesbian, gay, bisexual, transgender, intersex, etc. (LGBTI +). Seriously, the problems we face are complex and the more diversity of experiences we can bring, the better our solutions.
You will like this job if:
Your dream job is to be able to use your digital product design skills to solve the climate crisis.
You find the superannuation opaque and frustrating, if you had the chance to revolutionize the industry to be better for people, you would.
You enjoy collecting feedback from users, internal stakeholders and turning the various comments into clear product design decisions.
You want to join a growing and evolving company, where you can have an impact not only on the product itself, but also on our internal processes and the way we work to fulfill our mission.
We are looking for someone who:
Has 3-5 years of experience designing digital consumer products, bonus points if experience is with complex or highly regulated products. Bonus bonus points: the experience spans multiple products and industries
Likes to add moments of fun and surprise to create a distinctive experience
Obsessed with pixel placement, intentionally sweating the little things out so our users get the best experience we can offer
A little uncompromising on the processes, someone who likes to structure and question the ambiguity in a way forward
I can’t stop, I won’t stop sharing ideas no matter how crazy they may seem and no matter how many don’t succeed. You are curious to explore all the ways an idea can come to life and to get the opinions of others to improve your work
Enjoys informing technical architecture decisions based on evolving infrastructure, technology, hardware and software capabilities
Is resilient and dust you off to try again if the first or third thing you try doesn’t work
Thrives working with multiple stakeholders including brand designers, copywriters, product managers and engineers
Believes in the mission of Future Super and has a passion to move Australia’s money from fossil fuels to renewable energy
Do not check all the boxes? It’s okay, we like to think outside the box. We value skills, passion and who you are about experience. So if this work resonates with you, give it a whirl.
You’ll love working here with:
A goal-oriented organization that spends its days working to make this world a better place! The bigger we get, the more impact we have on climate change and inequality
A team made up of a group of individuals who love their job, take their job seriously but not themselves, and are always willing to explore a curly question (or seven)
Lots of flexibility to integrate work into your life and the ability to define what it looks like for you now and in the future
Fun team activities and company-wide events
14 weeks of paid parental leave for all genders and a generous parental retirement pension. We know that juggling family and work can be a delicate balance. We do our best to make sure that work fits into your life, not the other way around.
An Employee Assistance Program (EAP), additional time off, formal training and development with opportunities for continuous improvement, a continuous supply of healthy snacks in the office (if / when you are in the office) and membership in Bicycle NSW as part of our sustainable transport policy
Future Super is an equal opportunity employer – we offer flexible working hours, the ability to work from home, and a laptop that you can use to work remotely (that was a more differentiating benchmark, but it’s still true!)
The application will require short questions to be answered, so give yourself time to complete it. Once started, you can save and come back to your request before submitting it.
We use Applied as an anonymized recruiting platform, which helps us reduce the risk of unconscious bias in our recruiting process. If you’re curious about how it works, check out this blog post.
