Travel through the flavors of the Emilia-Romagna region in northern Italy at Piada, an authentic Italian restaurant in the heart of Lyon. Having recently opened a second outpost in the French town, diners can sample artisanal Piadina (thin Italian flatbread typical of the historic Romagna region) filled with a selection of fresh, seasonal Italian produce, including pesto with homemade hazelnuts, Stracciatella di Burrata, Italian raw ham, sausage, porchetta di Ariccia and camembert di Bufala.
In collaboration with Valencia-based creative studio Masquespacio (who designed their original restaurant Piada Confluence), the interiors of this latest Piada follow the ‘older brother’ aesthetic, while evolving within its own space.
With a nod to traditional Italian bars, Masquespacio chose gold, arches and columns interspersed with touches of flora and fauna to emphasize the concept of healthy eating. Of course, this is an interior designed by Masquespacio, diners can expect to see bold pops of color, a pastel color palette of blue, purple, pink and yellow, all toned down with contrasts of wood and velvet that give the establishment a little warmer atmosphere.
A family affair that dates back to when their Italian grandfather moved to France, Piada serves simple but tasty cuisine that keeps Lyonnais and visitors coming back again and again. Enjoy your meal.
