Inspired by a childhood in Brazil, this carbon merchant launched her own line of “cheeky” children’s clothing in Singapore

The idea of pairing sounded very corny before I became a mum, but afterwards I realized that it’s actually so nice to pair up with your little ones – when they still want to pair up with you! But there are so few great pairing options – most of them are designed the same for adults and children, but then you have to compromise a lot because an adult’s body is so different from that of a child, or they were simply designed for the purpose of twinning without much thought.

I found it so sad that the majority of mass-produced children’s clothes are in Morandi-esque colors, ie a little washed out. I believe children are naturally drawn to colors – happy colors, not pastel colors.

So I wanted to create something that was both beautiful and functional – easy, airy, cheerful, for modern families in Singapore. Life’s too short for the dull moments, and we design to impress. Our garments are deliberately designed unlined unless necessary, and we try to offer an option for the family to pair, but all garments are individually designed and priced with great thought.

We chose to work with premium fabrics such as Liberty London, Tana Lawn and Irish Linen as good fabric will last and they are just perfect for the Singapore climate. Light, airy, non-transparent (so no lining needed) and beautiful!
