Angeliki Maleviti is a young girl who discovers very early in her life that her great passion is the creation of clothes. So, right after her studies, she created her own brand, MàL-Le by A. Maleviti (https://www.mal-le.com/) which created a new dimension in the swimwear and swimwear market. lingerie. Angeliki creates swimwear and lingerie using quality materials that enhance every woman’s body.

The National Herald: You started your business at a very young age. How did the creation of MàL-Le by A. Maleviti come about and what does it have to offer the buying public?

The truth is that I’m very lucky, I started the brand as soon as I finished my studies in fashion design. It was something I really always wanted to do and ever since I was a kid I remember designing clothes. What I can offer the buying public through MàL-Le is that I would never put on the market a product that I did not buy or wear myself. I am also very picky about patterns, seams, materials, fit and quality. I want every product to be as good as possible and stand the test of time. That’s why I work for months on each collection, to test my fabrics and materials.

The National Herald: What is the inspiration behind your designs and what audience are your designs aimed at?

Angeliki Maleviti: I guess the inspiration for my designs is the female body and the ways to show it to make it more elegant and feminine. Because everyone is unique, like every woman. My creations are aimed at all women without exception, which is why all models come out from XS to XXL with the same beautiful end result.

The National Herald: How to choose the right swimsuit to enhance a woman’s body? What type of swimsuit best suits each body type?

AM: I think every woman can wear whatever she wants, regardless of her body type. The biggest “secret” is confidence, because even if something doesn’t go perfectly, you can always adapt it to your vibe and personality. It’s my motto for clothes and not just for swimwear and lingerie. I always say on my Instagram, love your body! It’s the most beautiful thing we have and we shouldn’t be ashamed of it, even if we have, for example, a bigger waist, belly or cellulite. That’s what makes us beautiful! But it goes without saying that there are a few little secrets depending on our morphology that help us highlight our best features.

Thus, if a woman’s morphology is “rectangle”, she can choose a swimsuit to create curves, for example, high waisted bottoms to accentuate the waist or models with more ties and lacing. In addition, all one-pieces are very suitable for this morphology.

The “apple” body type should emphasize the bust. Here I would like to add, since I also belong to this body type, there is no need to hide in one-piece swimsuits. A bikini can also look great on us and make our body look incredibly feminine and healthy, so we shouldn’t be ashamed of it. An underwired top for good support and a nice high waisted bottom with fabric on the sides to elongate our legs is much more eye-catching than a big black one-piece.

I think the “hourglass” body type can achieve all models and models of bikinis and one-piece swimsuits.

And now, for the “pear” body type, which is also the most typical body type among Greek women, I think it can be beautifully showcased with all types of swimsuits and bikinis. But ideally choose bikinis, if you want to accentuate the upper body. I would suggest something strapless or one shoulder, if you are fuller in the chest.

We can always very easily transform our negatives into positives or make them disappear by insisting on a strong point, by dropping the eye on it.

TNH: Is there a specific type of swimsuit that suits most women?

AM: I think the fay The bikini from last year’s collection, which is also part of this year’s collection, adapts to all female morphologies. That’s why I designed it. I try to ensure that all my swimsuits are suitable for all sizes and all body types. I never aim for a single body type design.

TNH: What are the current fashion trends in terms of swimwear design and color?

AM: Well, the truth is, I don’t follow trends. I never really did. It’s just that in winter an idea, or a color “sticks” to me and I decide to design with that in mind. When I start a collection I adjust all the colors and all the materials then I take the pencil. I have a blank base, a female body, and I’m just starting to draw lines. I think I do it subconsciously so that I don’t get affected when I’m designing a collection and creating something that’s entirely mine.

TNH: In addition to swimwear, you also design underwear. Can underwear be elegant, comfortable and healthy for the body at the same time and how?

AM: Of course, it can be elegant, comfortable and healthy. If you find the right materials, you can design whatever you want and the end result can be beautiful.

Underwear was like an idea for almost 3 years in my mind until I found the materials I actually wanted. Rubber and fabric were the ones that gave me a hard time, as I wanted them to be as healthy as possible for the female body. The underwear is made of 92% cotton and 8% spandex.

I experimented a lot until I ended up with this hypoallergenic cloth. I wanted my underwear to have as much cotton as possible, with no sag and enough stretch to hug the body. Soft to the touch and comfortable to wear. Underwear is like a gift to ourselves. And that’s why, since I couldn’t find what I was looking for, I had to create it myself and share it with the world.

All bras are made of double fabric in the front part, and they have very good support, so they are also suitable for light exercise. Also future mothers choose them for their pregnancy and the breastfeeding period, for the comfort they offer, the cut and of course the high quality of the fabric.

TNH: What is your favorite swimsuit among your own designs and what colors do you prefer?

AM: It’s definitely fay, because I really haven’t seen a woman, petite to plus size, that doesn’t look amazing in this design.

I love all colors, from earthy to bold, I don’t have any in particular. I think colors are directly related to our psychology. I can be drawn to bright colors today and pastels tomorrow.
