Since its inception, the modeling industry has held a very narrow standard of what it means to be beautiful. However, Paloma Elsesser hopes her presence in the industry will help shift the modeling culture in a more diverse direction. The British-born plus-size model has been turning heads since she started modeling, and she is not done yet. 1. She has some acting experience

Modeling has certainly been Paloma’s primary focus over the past few years, but she’s dipped her toe into the acting pool as well. In 2019 she was in the movie Uncut gems which starred Adam Sandler. This is her only movie credits at the moment and she hasn’t played a role on TV, so it will be interesting to see if she decides to do more acting.

2. She studied at the new school

Although Paloma was born in England, she grew up in Los Angeles. After high school, she decided to move to New York to study psychology at the New School. Her plan was to eventually become a practicing psychologist. However, it does not appear that she has completed her program.

3. She was discovered on Instagram

In recent years, social media has proven to be much more than a place for people to share photos and videos. Platforms like Instagram and Twitter have opened up incredible real-life opportunities for a lot of people, and Paola Elsesser is one of them. Since Paloma is in the modeling industry, most people would probably assume that one of her biggest inspirations would be another model. However, this is not the case. When asked about someone who really inspired her, Paloma said Office magazine that Oprah is at the top of the list. She said, “She’s transcended every barrier that stood before her, from relationship titles to acting. She does everything authentically, even in mainstream media.

5. She’s not afraid to say what she thinks

Paloma has been very keen to use her platform to do more than just a mannequin. She has also spoken out on issues such as discrimination in the modeling industry and the general lack of diversity. She is proud to be able to represent other people who are like her.

6. She likes to travel

Paloma is the true definition of a woman of the world. She has had the opportunity to take more trips than many people can even imagine. Among the countries she visited were Brazil, Spain, Japan and Nigeria. There is no doubt that she will add even more places to the list in the years to come.

7. She would like to start designing clothes

Paloma doesn’t have any fashion design experience at the moment, but it’s something she would love to do someday. She would like to be able to design clothes for plus size women. With her background in the fashion industry, this is something she could really be good at.

Now that Paloma’s career has really started to take off, she probably doesn’t have much free time left. However, when she has a few moments to spare, she loves to curl up with a good book and get lost in a story. Not only does she enjoy reading, but she hopes to one day write her own book.

10. She’s struggling with addiction

Things may be going well for Paloma now, but she’s been through her fair share of tough times. Almost a decade ago, she struggled with drug and alcohol addiction. Although it was not an easy thing to overcome, she knew she had to make changes in her life once she hit rock bottom.
